Walking

Some of the finest walking anywhere is outside our chalets, see the Notional Park Website.

Riding

Riding round here could not be better, there are miles of tracks and wonderful views we can even organise for you to travel from place to place (we'll bring your bags to each new destination for you)
Horse can be hired from the near by treking centre.

Railway

Of course York is down the road and the train from Thirsk takes 20 mins and saves all the fuss of parking in York which is expensive and difficult. York has the Park & Ride facilities.

Mountain Biking

Mountain bikes are not our thing at the farm, but we welcome visitors who want to explore the area this way.  More serious riders often base themselves here, coming back happy, tired and hungry! Have a look at www.mtb-routes.co.uk

 

Flying

The Yorkshire Gliding club offers trial lessons and courses -  FLY in a fleet of modern gliders in scenic North Yorkshire www.ygc.co.uk

Some other activities

Duncombe Park near Helmsley have motor bike rallys, book fairs, antique fairs
Castle Howard has two concerts each year: one classical, one pop. This year the castle will also host a vintage car weekend.

Nunnington Hall has various exhibitions - this year it was Lord Litchfield's photographic exhibition.
